Abstract
The paper analyses an extended non-target-like insertion of a segment /r/ at word boundary in a French acquisition corpus. Interestingly, this addition does not seem to have a model in the language addressed to the child. Its status as a blind-alley development as well as its theoretical implications are discussed.
